I was Country Director for HIAS Chad (2005-2006) and established the psychosocial intervention programme for Darfuri refugees.
In 2006 I founded ASSAF - Aid Organization for Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Israel. An organization that provides psychosocial support to the 18,000 asylum seekers arriving in Israel in the past 3 years. The organization is an implementing partner of UNHCR.
In 2008 I developed the first course in Israel on refugee care at the School of Social Work, Ben Gurion University and Began a PhD in Sociology at Tel Aviv University researching the interaction between the psychosocial discourse and refugee self-representations.
