Just updated, 3.50pm, USA east coast time, 25 Jan 2010.
Dear All,
I took a look at the matrix and its excellent that it is coming to use. I'm sure it will be helpful for the purposes it was designed for.
Based on my experience piloting the tools in Jordan and Nepal, I would like to suggest a small point.
Although it is tedious, it pays in the long run to have each activity item on a single row. Later on, when the database gets bigger, it will be easy to sort the information per activity as needed with the use of a filter. If there are more MHPSS activities in one cell, then sorting by filters will be problematic later on when you want to know who is doing what (and you need to know specifically). The same applies to target groups. For the target groups, I had made a separate cell naming it, men, women, children (breaking down with age groups), special groups, elderly etc.
In this hectic time, if you don't want to split cells based on target group, at least entering the MHPSS activities per cell will be a good idea.
best,
Bhava
Updated without problems
I have tried every which way to upload the file with ACT's information. Tomorrow I will ask our tech person for help.
Updated, 3.34pm, USA East Coast time, 28 Jan 2010. I've also uploaded a doc that will help you to understand the matrix. If you have difficulty uploading on line and in Excel, use the Word format in the Haiti 4W Matrix notes to guide what info you need for the matrix and send me the details so that I can update the 4W matix.
Updated 30 January 2010.
please note that i'm currently working on the spreadsheet. Thanx. (10.03.2010)
